Shorty report for June 8th. EURO 2008 results. Austria 0 – 1 Croatia – the host lost with a penalty (by Modric) in the beginning of the match. Germany 2 – 0 Poland – Podolski was the one to give Deustschland 2 goals.

Status Update: Cannavaro out of EURO 2008.
Yep. He’s out. Turns out the injury was, indeed, pretty bad. Cannavaro ruptured ligaments in his left ankle during the Azzurri’s first training session. And the one to replace him will not be Bonero, as thought before. The man to take Italy’s captain spot is Gamberini.
Not a lucky day for Cannavaro.
