Inter introduced two new players to fight for the Brazilian title. Defender Fabiano Eller, who lifted the 06 Copa Libertadores with the side from Porto Alegre, returned after spells at Atletico Madrid and Santos. He was forced to leave Santos after picking a fight with goalie Fabio Costa, the “owner” of the team.

The other player is midfielder/forward Edu, who started his career at Sao Paulo and spent the last 9 years in Spain at Real Betis.

Talking about Inter, the club played of the matches that had been postponed. It beat Sport 3 – 0 and now seats in fourth with another 2 postponed matches to go.
