End of story: Fred will stay in Lyon.

FredFor those of us who had great hopen in Brazilian striker Fred, it was a big bump to see him injured, out of the Brazilian National team, and losing opportunities at his own club, Lyon. The ex-Cruzeiro player got injured and was away from the pitch for 5 months. When he returned, he saw his replacement, top French championship goal scorer Karim Benzema, take his place for good. With offers from Paris Saint-German and Tottenham, Fred decided to stay at Lyon. Why? That I don’t know.

At Lyon, Fred will have to work har to get his game back. I believe he is extremely capable of doing so and, if that is the case, could be a good match for Benzema up front.

Truth is, I don’t think that neither Paris Saint-German nor Tottenham made good enough offers to Fred. He wouldn’t have stayed if the offers were decent.

Fred is an amazing striker. No bullshit on his game. Get the ball, hit to the goal, go celebrate.

But I am still waiting to sim him play his amazing football and come back as a top striker for the Selecao. Just like in the 2006 World Cup in Germany, when Brazil played Australia, I believe Fred will come back and surprise a lot of opponents.
