Now that is the Seleção I know.

Brazil vs. MexicoBrazil beat Mexico today 3×1, in Boston. This is the last friendly before the FIFA 2010 Qualifiers and Dunga seems to have found a solid team. It was an extremely fast paced, physical and competitive match and the Brazilians have finally broken the 4 consecutive losses to Mexico. I can surely say this was one of the best games I have seen since the 2006 World Cup Fiasco.

Mexico was marking strong, giving Brazil’s Seleção no space to attack through the middle. The Brazilians had to find their way on the outside of the pitch, which became no problem since the team was very creative.

Kaka has never been faster and Ronaldinho seems to have his game back. The match was flowing and still Brazil could not capitalize on the several chances created. Just like the Brazilian saying states: “whomever doesn’t score gets scored,” Mexico scored a goal with Cacho. The first real chance the Mexicans had and the ball was shaking the net.

It was like a wake-up call. Brazil tied the match a minute after, with Kleber.

The second half kept the hype up. But it was really a Brazilian day, as the canarinha managed to score 2 more goals with Kaka and Afonso (miracle! I thought this guy would never score). Tabu over: Brazil 3 - Mexico 1.

It was nice to see the Brazilian team working hard and motivated. I always say this and will say it again: Brazil has the best football team and talent in the world. They just need to put it to use.
