10 reasons why Beckham will start against Austria.

Blinding! Beckham will start against Austria tomorrow. The news has been causing a lot of discussion and fuss about his fitness and the reason why McClaren has decided to put him in. Truth is, some of us just can’t get enough of him (either for his football or his looks). After a 4 game absence, Posh’s hubby will be back on the pitch fresh and good (or not) to go. But what are the main reason for this decision? I’ve gathered a good list for you in case nothing pops your mind.
1. He will take some attention off Peter Crouch.
2. Becks will prove he is indeed fit even though he has played very few games in the past 4 months (can he?)
3. He looks good.
4. Wright-Phillips is still not fit enough to play after his ankle injury.
5. Directly from McClaren’s mouth: “It’s a friendly, so I’m looking at different personnel.”
6. He is, indeed, very experienced.
7. Brilliant looks!
8. Good football.
9. I bet $5 he would start.
10. MLS makes him look amazing on the pitch.
The move however, isn’t making some fans happy. Tombo1984, a fan at BBC’s 606, says that “We need our best players playing for this, and im afraid this shouldnt include out of form, unfit former stars playing for large teams…”
