Casillas immortal in Madrid’s wax museum.

Iker CasillasSpain goalie Iker Casillas has been honored with a wax statue of himself in Madrid, Spain. Nice move taking into account some people only get a statue after being dead. The Spanish captain, product of Real Madrid’s youth system, has been a true hero for the Spanish people. He was the youngest goalkeeper to ever play an European Cup final when he was only 19, when Real Madrid beat Valencia 3-0.

Now the handsome Spanish man has a lot fo things most people do not know (since they are of extreme relevance to his game!): his favorite food is fried eggs with potatoes, and his idol is Italy’s goalie Buffon (not sure how true those statements are, so here is the source nad you can judge for yourself).

I wonder how many goalkeepers have wax sculptures of themselves on display somewhere. I think Peter Schmeichel has one at Old Trafford, and your post has inspired me to research that possibility. Keep up the good work!
