Riquelme quits Argentina.

riquelme_quitsYep. He’s out. Finished. Juan Román Riquelme announced today he will no longer play for Argentina due to differences with Maradona. He says him and Maradona have different ways of thinking and acting and that he will not be participating in next year’s World Cup. Too bad for Maradona, who will be losing a great player (hard for me to say – it’s an Argentinan footballer we’re talking about here).

On the other hand, Riquelme has quit the national team in the past and returned. So not sure people (of Argentina) should be worried…
