World Cup 2010 Guests

Farewell Kahn.

Oliver KahnIt’s the end of the football road for German goalie Oliver Kahn. The Bayern Munich player, author of so many scenes of anger and pride, is leaving football. The best player of 2002 World Cup has had a brilliant career with seven German championships, five German cups, the UEFA Cup (1996), the UEFA Champions League and the Intercontinental Cup (both 2001). He has also been Deutschland’s goalkeeper from 1994 to 2006. His last professional match will be in India, on May 27th.

The news is official and was announced by Bayern’s director Karl-Heinz Rummenigge.

Kahn will have, however, a match that will be played for him in September, at Olympiastadion. The game will run between Bayern Munich and the German National Team.

Farewell Kahn. I will never forget the present you gave to Ronaldo in 2002. :)
