Adriano going back to Brazil.

AdrianoI still remember the times when Brazilian forward Adriano was a machine. The guy could shoot a power shot from almost any angle. His last minute goal against Argentina in 2005 Copa America final made him the “emperor” and his call to join the World Cup 2006 squad was a smart one, we all thought. But no. In Germany, Adriano was lazy on the field, looking like and old lady who had difficulties to move. That’s when I started to dislike him. From then on, he never again played the football he once did. Inter downgraded him, he had family issues, and things were never the same. Now Adriano is back in Sao Paulo and Inter is working on a deal that would lend him to the Brazilian team for 6 months, in hopes that he gets himself together.

I am not sure any club in the world can help Adriano. I am really negative when it comes to discussing him.

But I cannot believe how a strong player could suddenly loose his football. I also don’t think it is for me to judge his personal life and what went on, but it is taking him way too long to recover from whatever happened.

Anyhow, we hope Sao Paulo gives fresh new air to Adriano and that he recovers his passion and lovely football and drops the current attitude.

And why not remeber the goal at 2005 Copa America Final against Argentina. Brazil was losing 2-1 and Adriano scored a last minute goal, which took Brazil to penalties and to victory!

Let’s see what Adriano will be able to accomplish in the six coming months.
