David Trezeguet quits International footballIt is an unfortunate day. One of the greatest French players, David Trezeguet, has decided to retire from International football. The early notice comes due to a guy who still managed to stay France’s manager even after a horrible EURO 2008 campaign. I just cannot believe how such and amazing player like Trezeguet got cut out of EURO.

“The bad EURO situation and the confirmation of coach have forced me to make this irreversible decision,” said the Juventus striker.

Here is part of the news at fifa.com:

Trezeguet had a successful career with Les Bleus, winning the 1998 FIFA World Cup France™ and UEFA EURO 2000, where he scored a spectacular golden goal to secure a dramatic late win over Italy. But he and Domenech have had strained relations, with the player recently claiming the coach had no confidence in his abilities.

Trezegol, who scored 20 goals for Juventus last season, was outraged recently when he failed to make France’s 30-man preliminary squad for EURO 2008. “What’s happened to me is unacceptable and inexcusable,” Trezeguet said in May. “On the pitch I’ve shown that I deserve my place. The choices made are incomprehensible, I deserve to go to the EURO.”

He surely did. Your truly, truly suck Domenech.
