As previously mentioned, Kaká is packing up and moving to Madrid. Today, Real confirmed the move officially on its website. End of speculation. The Brazilian is now the second most expensive buy of all times, only falling behind Zidane who moved from Juventus to Real Madrid.

The one to blame: the world financial crisis. Apparently.

Today Kaká told TV Globo from Brazil that the move/sell happened because of the financial crisis. He mentioned AC Milan is like any other business and suffered from the crisis. Solution? Selling Kaká. Which was, by the way, a mutual agreement between the club and the player.

Smart move Kaká. Very smart.

The Brazilian is joining a fantastic squad and will still play one of the most competitive leagues on earth. And to top the cake with a cherry, he managed to do it in a way that leaves his old club and fans grateful (why wouldn’t they?) and upcoming club excited (who wouldn’t?)

Graceful.
