Is Beckham wanted in LA? Does he even want to be back?

Beckham at LA GalaxyWith the end of his agreement with AC Milan approaching, David Beckham is set to return to LA Galaxy until the next transfer window opens, in January. The British man caused some furor in America with the Milan deal and made fans a bit mad by just leaving the team he decided to defend. So now that he apparently has no other option other than coming back to LA, I pose two questions: Do fans want him back? and does he want to be back?

Let’s take care of the first issue: fans. LA Galaxy did not want him out, the fans did not either (at least until the end of his contract). He managed to do so anyways. Not cool for the fans, very cool for him. And although it seemed like LA was doing better without Golden Balls, things currently do not look so bright for the Galaxy. The team stands last in the Western Standings with not a single victory whatsoever. Having stars like Becks could definitely bring some morale back in the squad, or ruin it. What will it be?

Now for the second issue, I strongly believe Beckham really does not want to come back and play in America. First, playing in Milan is just so much better (better football, better players, don’t even get me started), but most importantly, he has more visibility there and more chances of joining the English team. Capello is not fond of his football in America and has a better eye on him when he is playing in Europe. Honestly, I would too.

So there you go. One person, however, has made his love for “Becks-in-Milan” extremely well known: Adriano Galliani, Milan’s vice-president.

“The agreements with Galaxy are very clear. We have got what we wanted and hence we have David until the end of the season,” said Galliani. “Beckham has been an extremely important signing. We took him knowing that Gattuso was injured. I hope Beckham comes back to us but from now until the January transfer window he will definitely be in Los Angeles.”

It seems like whether people (or Becks) want it or not, LA is having Becks back.
