Booo. FIFA does not like technology.

Yes, they don’t. Technology which would most likely improve the performance of the referee has been rejected by the Ship Mother of Football. The International Board decided to suspend all technological efforts that might help the refs, said Jerome Valcke this past Saturday.
The only idea which was well received, as a test, was the one of using 2 extra line refs, which will be tested on the under-20 women’s World Cup in Chile, on November.
I think it is stupid to stop technological advancement in football. It’s not like the game is changing. The game would actually be more fair and refs more precise. Leading to less fights, screams of anger, and less insulting to the all of their Moms.
Given that I have a big chunk of geekness in me, I do not agree with FIFA’s move.
