Want to swap footie managers?

Let’s swap Scolari for Dunga! The week has been pretty stressfull for some managers/coaches. Portugal’s Big Phil Scolari has managed to qualify his team to EURO 08 with a poor draw agains Finland, which didn’t make all the Portuguese people very happy with his work. McClaren took some sort of stupid decisions on England’s last match and managed to give the Three Lions a nice summer vacation. He is now home with his pocket full of money leaving behind a fat spot to be filled by a brave new manager. Brazilian coach Dunga got lucky (with the help of God) against Uruguay, I still do not think he is good enough to manage a team that needs constant babysitting and stimulation. So right here, I propose a swap.

We will send Dunga to Portugal (he does speak portuguese) and get Scolari to coach Brazil (good days to remember. The guy is good and gave Brazil the 2002 World Cup title). It is a good swap in my eyes (Brazilian eyes). Dunga will give some new air and aquire some more experience and Scolari will return to the job he should have never left. Bazilian players need someone to be tough and put some pressure on them. it is the only way the work properly.

Now for England, I will take Daily Express‘ rumor and say send Jurgen Klinsmann to clean the house. Mourinho already said no, so why not go for another good name out there?

It does seem to be shopping season for new coaches. Australia, Ukraine, Serbia, Finland, Norway and Denmark are also looking for fresh new merchanside to lead their teams. The Socceroos are in a special spot among such “shoppers.” They have an exciting new year ahead as they join FIFA 2010 World Cup qualifiers with a debut in the Asian qualification group. Right there, a great opportunity for a manager to make (or rebuild) his image.
