McFadden scores for ScotlandAs Scotland traveled to France, they not only had a tough game to face but also the weight of a record: The scottish had not won a match gainst France, is french soil, for 57 years.

Bye, bye record… France lost 1×0 to Scotland with a miracle goal from McFadden. France is now in a merde situation, even though it was better most of the time. The Scots packed their defense and were able to stop and inspired Henry. Let’ see what people are saying.

From Skysports Forum

“what can you say an absoloutly fantastic result for Scotland - the transformation of Scotish football over the last few years from the dark depressing days of the 90’s and early 2000’s has been just amazing. I just fear though that Scotland might be pipped at the post as they certainly have the toughest next two games with Georgia and Italy up next while the French play Lithuania and the Faroes.”

Now this is good… same forum:

“just typical of this country, scotland pull off one of the greatest results in their history but the back pages are all england”

Mirror, UK
“James McFADDEN moved Scotland to within touching distance of the Euro 2008 finals last night. [...] McFadden made France pay when he picked up the ball 30 yards out and fired in a fierce shot that a startled Landreau could only help into the net.”

BBC, UK
“Scotland sit proudly at the top of Euro 2008 qualifying Group B after a fabulous win over France at Hampden.”
