Van Persie is perfect says Wenger

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has hailed on fire Arsenal skipper as the “perfect captain” after the Dutchman bagged a hat-trick against Chelsea on Saturday.
Van Persie has been instrumental in Arsenal’s resurgence after their worst start in the Premier League under Wenger, and has found the net a remarkable 28 times in his last 27 games to prompt football betting experts to back them for a Champions League spot come the end of the season.
The 28-year-old took up the captaincy when Cesc Fabregas departed for Barcelona in the summer, and has taken on extra responsibility since Samir Nasri left for Manchester City before the season got underway, and Wenger is full of praise for his lone striker, and for his team for helping him find the net so often.
“I was always very confident [in my team],” Wenger told the club’s official website about the win over Chelsea. “I have always said that football games are decided by details.”
“Robin is an exceptional player who takes advantage of that fact that we have an attacking team that works hard for him. It’s no coincidence that when a player scores, well it is because the team does well. Our style of play creates chances.
“[Van Persie] is a perfect captain not just because he scores goals but because he behaves himself on and off the field.” he added.
And the confidence felt by Wenger is beginning to seep through to his team, with winger and scorer in the 5-3 win over Chelsea The Walcott insisting they “can beat almost anyone” in their current form, while key midfielder Aaron Ramsay is confident of filling the void left by Fabregas over the summer to push his side onwards and upwards.
“Everyone played their part in the win at Chelsea,” the Welshman commented. “I like to get forward and my target [for goals this season] is double figures.”
“Cesc was a different player… hopefully I can bring my own style to this team.”
