Brazil, the new England

Is Brazil the “England of South America”? 5 out of its 5 clubs qualified for the round of 16 of Copa Libertadores, just like English clubs dominate the Champions league. In fact, 4 (the maximum, given that 2 clubs were in the same group) of them qualified in first. If they don’t face each in the next round, it is very likely the 5 will be in the quarter-finals too.
The next stage by country:
Brazil: 5 (Gremio, Cruzeiro, Sao Paulo, Sport,Palmeiras)
Argentina : 2 (Boca, Estudiantes)
Uruguay: 2 (Nacional, Defensor)
Mexico: 2 (Chivas, San Luis)
Paraguay: 1 (Libertad)
Venezuela: 1 (Caracas)
Chile: 1 (Universidad de Chile)
Peru: 1 (San Martin)
Equador: 1 (Deportivo Cuenca)
Sad to see that Colombia does not have a singe club. Only Colombia and Bolivia did not make into the knock-out stage.
