Copa do Brasil for Santos: Ouch!!!

And people wonder why football is the favorite sport around the globe. Just follow me. Santos, one of the finalists in the main Brazilian state championship, received CSA from the small state of Alagoas for the second leg of the second round of Copa do Brasil. CSA is fighting relegation in its local tournament. Easy for Santos, right? In the first match, there was a draw, which was impressive enough. But CSA took it further. In the first minutes of the first-half, Júnior Amorim scored for the visitors. From there, Santos missed many chances, making goalie Jeferson the man of the match. Santos was eliminated at home from the most important tournament of the first semester still in its early stages. If the club wants to reach Libertadores in 2010, it must do a great campaign in Campeonato Brasileiro.
In other matches, Fluminense beat Aguia de Maraba after last week’s incredible loss. The club once more showed a great amount of pragmatism, just like its coach Parreira.
Internacional, on the other hand, continues to deliver performances that match its status of one of the best Brazilian sides at the moment. This time the victim was Guarani, who visited Inter and watched Argentinean D’Alessandro lead the team in the 5-0 victory. In HD here.
