What a nice match! That is the Corinthians we all know. Bold, skillful and full of passion. But as Timao crushed sport 3-1, a name started emerging not only in my heart but also inside all Corinthians’ fans hearts: Herrera! The Argentinian forward was amazing on the pitch. And even though his only bad quality is actually being Argentinian (oh come on, we all know how Brazilians and Argentinians are not too friendly when it comes to football… and Maradona… or Pele), Herrera made me think he could be the next big thing in football (video after the jump).

The (soon to be) 38 year-old will reach the end of his contract with AC Milan this coming June. The point right now is not even if he will quit or not, but it’s nice to see a player with such a stable and successful career. Few have managed to do what he did: the guy is almost 40 and still runs like a young 20 year old.

Former Brazil striker Romario has announced his retirement from football at the age of 42. “Officially I’m not playing any more. I’ve stopped,” he said. “My time is up. Everything has been a lot of fun.” The 1994 World Player of the Year scored more than 1,000 goals, including 56 in 73 appearances for his country, and also won the 1994 World Cup.
