Finally, it was taking too long for Maradona to comment on the winner of the [tag]Golden Ball[/tag]. Argentina’s God, Dieguito, has finally spoken and, of course, criticized [tag]Kaká[/tag] on the victory. For him, Messi and Ronaldinho are much better than the Brazilian midfielder. Alright, not everyone needs to agree with who should be taking the prize home, but to say Ronaldinho is (currently) a better player than Kaká is bollocks.

Messi is, indeed, an amazing footballer and should be taking the golden baby home in the near future. Ronaldinho, on the other hand, might need to work really hard to go back to the game he once had.

The year has not been very positive for him. Unstable in the Brazilian National Team and now also in Barcelona, Ronaldinho hasn’t showed what he used to in past days. A lot of Brazilians have disbelief on him an Kaka has been proving to be quite the saviour during the 2010 World Cup Qualifiers.

I really feel like I am repeating myself here. Today, Kaká took home the France Football’s Golden Ball, as expected many months ago. Also, just as the leaked information we heard last week, Cristiano Ronaldo took the second spot, followed by Messi. The difference in points from the AC Milan player to the other two was big. Almost double. It really shows how strong the guy is in the hearts of journalists.

Kaká took his prize home after getting 444 points. Cristiano Ronaldo got 277 against 255 points from Lionel Messi, from Argentina (those man bags really made a differece for C-Ron huh?).

In Kaká’s own words, he “thanks winning this prize first to God.” He also thanks his wife, family and AC Milan teammates. I guess that was pretty fair. But if I were him, I would also thank his skills. Kaká has greatly improved his speed in the past year and is now a running machine in the pitch.

He is, indeed, Roi du Monde.

Now let’s wait for December 17th, where he will take FIFA’s Best Player of the Year award and I will repeat myself once again.

Who will take the Golden Ball?

The Golden Ball awards, one of the most prestigious individual football achievements, will be held this Sunday in Paris. There is always lots of speculation on who’s taking the shinny ball home, but this year, everyone knows Kaka will take it home. After buying a ticket to Paris and the leak of the journalist’s choice, Kaka should now be getting a nice hair cut and looking for an Armani suit. This is good practice, after all , he should also be getting FIFA’s World Player fo the Year award in December.

The previous Ballon D’or was taken home by Italian Fabio Cannavaro (who also won FIFA’s award). So here is the top 5 list we should probably be seeing on Sunday.
