England is in a tough spot, no news there. But while the Three Lions won 1-0 the friendly against Austria, McClaren’s squad has yet another problem: Michael Owen got injured and will not face Croatia on the 21st. Now everyone (who’s English) is hoping for at least a draw between Russia and Israel and praying [...]

Today’s gossip comes for the all reliable The Sun. The word says Israel’s coach actually wants Russia to qualify! That not only means Israel would have to lose the game, but also that England can say bye-bye to a ticket to Austria and Switzerland.

This afternoon, I read an article where former Scotland star, John Collins, urges the Scottish crowd to keep the noise up in the stadium as they face Italy on the final road to EURO 2008. They will qualify if they beat Italy this Saturday. A loss means bye-bye to the brave Scottish squad. Collins’ advice [...]

It gets pretty bad to be in a situation where you are hoping for another team’s players to be 100% fit in order to give you a better chance of qualification. England is just like that, and their hopes are going down the tube as Israels’ Benayoun will not face Russia in Tel Aviv. How [...]

David Beckham-and-the-fans is always something good to write about. Some think he should be off the English pitch and others seem to adore and cherish an amazing return to the English team. Truth is Becks is back whether people like it or not. The new LA Galaxy coach, dutch ex-super player Ruud Gullit, is doing [...]

We’re on the the final lap of EURO 08 Qualifiers. Some teams have already qualified and others depend on results in order to get the ticket to Switzerland and Austria. Italy vs. Scotland should be an awesome match and if Russia wins against Israel, England gets into deep trouble.

Germany is not alone, Greece, Romania and Czech Republic have now joined hosts Austria and Switzerland and qualified for EURO 2008. The Czechs had a great 3×0 win over already qualified Germany, while Greece beat Turkey in Istanbul is a tense match. But the day goes to the dramatic Russian victory over England with 2 [...]

Hold your horses, October 17th is only 2 days away. I am keeping an eye on England vs. Russia (if England wins, ticket for them and Croatia) and Turkey vs. Greece (If Greece wins they will qualify). I believe Portugal should have no problems getting a win over Kazakhstan but football is football and we [...]

What a beautiful full of games day. No big surprise in most of the matches, except for Germany v. Republic of Ireland. I really thought Germany was going to take that one, but at the end it really didn’t matter since the Germans have already qualified for Austria and Switzerland.
