Word was out today that Brasileirao Champions, Sao Paulo, were thinking of renaming their current stadium, Morumbi, in order to get it ready to go for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil. The practice is common among big teams like Bayern Munchen, whose stadium became the beautiful Allianz Arena, and for England’s Arsenal, whose home is the Emirates Stadium.

Official: 2014 is in Brazil.

After a few weeks of already knowing that World Cup 2014 will be played in Brazil, today came the official announcement. Brazil will now have to work on a bunch of stuff and maybe this will be a good excuse to have the government actually do something about Brazilian cities instead of just promising and doing absolutely nothing.

FIFA will “decide” if Brazil gets 2014

After years of preparation and a major effort to try to please as much as possible the FIFA delegation, Brazil will finally get something the country might not be able to sustain: a World Cup. On October 30th, Brazil will present the application to the FIFA committee in Zürich and one week after, FIFA will announce what everyone already knows: The 2014 World Cup will be played in Brazil.
