Wrapping Up the Second Division

The second division of Brasileirao officially came to an end today. Only one thing remained to be seen: the last club to be relegated. And sadly, Juventude was the one. Juventude and Fortaleza, two traditional sides that played the first division until 07, will be in third division in 2010. Final standings are:
Champion: Vasco
Promoted to first division: Vasco, Guarani, Ceara, Atletico-GO
Relegated to third division: Juventude, Fortaleza, Campinense, ABC
Top Strikers: Rafael Coelho (Figueirense), Marcelo Nicacio (Fortaleza), Elton (Vasco) – 17 goals.
Best Attendance: 81.904 people ( Vasco 2 – 1 Juventude)
Worst Attendance: 5 people (Duque de Caxias 4 – 1 Ponte Preta)
