Barueri and Corinthians had their match of the 22nd round anticipated to feed TV demands. Barueri jumped ahead with a goal scored with just 20 seconds. Corinthians, debuting its new jersey, came back with goals from Marcinho (after a questionable penalty) and Elias, who got a beautiful long range. Barueri, however, tied with a goal by Val Baiano, the top scorer of the league with just 11 goals (what a low number). The goals:
