The beach in Copacabana experienced, today, two beautiful matches. Mexico, the newcomer, beat favorites Uruguay and is now in the final to face Brazil, who won 6×2 against France. I have to say that winning a match against France is getting close to winning against Argentina (in classic football Brazil hasn’t been able to win a match against France since 1986). But back to Beach Soccer, and now that France is no longer an issue, Rio should experience a nice final tomorrow.

Mexico has done an absolutely amazing job in the tournament. Who was to say that the newcomers would reach the finals? With a victory over traditional Uruguay, the Mexicans will be very motivated to do the same against Brazil.

But Brazil is Brazil and when it comes to football / soccer, no matter what type, you can never guess or predict what will happen. Brazil’s beach soccer team is solid and devoted and has experienced players. I am sure that will play a huge part on tomorrow’s match.
