The Ups and Downs…

After riding on a high for the past few weeks as Brazil took on the other teams with such ease, poise, strength and passion I was very much in shock at how last nights match finished. As the people say here;  it was up to the gods of football. Oh and yes; we still have 5 titles! As both teams were very strong and played hard the entire match, you just never know how it will end up, even down to the last minute on the clock. That is what makes football such an amazing game. And going into the match, I like most people thought it was a bit of a toss up as to whom would prevail and move onto the next round, as both teams deserve much respect, but of course I was hoping that it would be Brazil. I guess this only means that when we all travel to Brazil for the World Cup in 2014, we know whom will take home the title! Now the Neatherlands better hold there ground in making sure to play good football until the end. We also had another dissapointment here last night as Ghana lost to Uruguay in a shoot out 4-2. But as my friend Chevi put it; you don’t miss three in a world cup match. Many tears and hugs were shared here amongst many fans from many different countries, backgrounds, and ideals. As the unity, comradery and the people will continue to make football such an amazing sport to be part of  and love! Viva Brazil!  And onward to Cape Town!! xx Crics
