Dunga Calls the National Team and Naldo Returns

Naldo Brazil

The two surprises of the call for the last two games of the world cup qualifying are the return of defender Naldo and midfielder Alex, ex-Inter. I’m very pleased about the latter. It is also cool to see that Diego Souza from Palmeiras stayed. The list:

Goalies
Julio César (Inter de Milão)
Victor (Grêmio)

Side-backs
Maicon (Inter de Milão)
Daniel Alves (Barcelona)
André Santos (Fenerbahçe)
Filipe Luis (La Coruña)

Center-backs
Lucio (Inter de Milão)
Luisão (Benfica)
Juan (Roma)
Miranda (São Paulo)
Naldo (Werder Bremen)

Midfielders
Gilberto Silva (Panathinaikos)
Josué (Wolfsburg)
Lucas (Liverpool)
Kaká (Real Madrid)
Ramires (Benfica)
Elano (Galatasaray)
Sandro (Internacional)
Alex (Spartak Moscou)
Diego Souza (Palmeiras)

Forwards
Nilmar (Villarreal)
Adriano (Flamengo)
Luis Fabiano (Sevilla)
Diego Tardelli (Atlético-MG)

A little disappointed with these call ups. No Pato, Marcelo, Diego? What did you think about Alex getting a chance? I know you’re a fan, I have no idea what kind of form he is in playing in Russia these days.

    Hey Duvel,
As you know, I don’t care much about Pato and Diego – but with Tardelli in, this could’ve been a good chance. Or maybe the moment to try out Grafite.

I’d like to see Marcelo too and Fabio Aurelio. And, as far as i know, Alex is playing well in Russia too. It will be nice to see Alex and Nilmar together again.
