He is a great footballer. But when C. Ronaldo gets on cocky land, I feel like taking away all his merits and achievements. Today he pretty much told France’s L’Equipe that no one else deserves France Football’s Ballo D’Or but him (he’s a simple guy, you know…). He says he has had a stable year [...]

I guess the idea was to be just a soccer player. But when something has the word “soccer” instead of football you wonder who made it and if they really know what they are talking about. I think they don’t. Proof is this costume. WTF?

Yep. Diego Armando Maradona is, officially, Argentina’s new boss. One of the best all time players will have to work hard to bring Argentina up on the World Cup Qualifiers. Dieguito was smart though: his coordinator is Carlos Bilardo, who gave Argentina the 1986 World Cup title.
Maybe training sessions will now include “Hand of God” [...]

Can you imagine? That would be really interesting. Not really good for Argentina but interesting nontheless. Today there was an almost confirmation that Maradona will be the hermanos’ boss. It’s seems like the AFA did not even consider another man for the job and Maradona believes he is quite ready to take on the burden [...]

2008 is the year of Cristiano Ronaldo. The Manchester United superstar took home the FIFPro award as the world’s best in 2008. And he should be proud (not cocky). Winning the FIFPro - Fédération Internationale Des Associations de Footballeurs Professionels - award means that Ronaldo got chosen as #1 by his fellow players. And as [...]

Now really… it’s ok to try your luck and go for a dribble or a risky play here and there. Now I just get very annoyed when people think every time they touch the ball they need to make miracles (frustrations from pick up footy).

The picture from early summer and the current one (right) show how Ronaldo is getting back into great shape. The belly seems to be going away, although the afro seems to keep the strong presence. But I have to say that is great progress since the phenomenon started training with Flamengo.

Gorgeous. Del Piero’s got class! Easily one of the most beautiful goals I’ve seen this year.

To keep it short and inform fast:
Chelsea still on top of its game. Scolari’s squad beat AS Roma with a nice header by Terry 13 minutes to the end. Chelsea tops group A, like a cherry (a blue one).
Manchester had no problems winning the match against Celtic at home, 3 - 0. Goals from Berbatov [...]

We have to all agree that moving to LA Galaxy wasn’t the best move David Beckham has performed. The guy got all the pressure and sold all the jerseys, but when it came down to football, MLS is definitely not a good playing ground for someone like Becks. I guess no one will really bring [...]
