Beckham shirtless… in Brazil.
Well, now that’s a nice view: a beautiful beach up north in Brazil and a hot dude playing football without his shirt. Welcome to Brazil David Beckham, stay as long as you’d like (ps: his juggling skills are really not very good…).
What should I do with my FIFA award?
Well, if you want any advice from our fellow mate Kaka, you give it to your church. That is what the AC Milan superstar did when he went to Brazil for new years. After spending the night in church, he left his trophy there as a gift (and what a nice gift shall I say). [...]
Beckham will have to wait.
It was not today. David Beckham will have to wait for the match that will give him his 100th cap for England. The LA Galaxy beau has been left out Capello’s plans for the match against Swizerland on February 6th. Even though Capello says the doors aren’t closed for him, it makes it har to [...]
Pato scores 2. Life is good at AC Milan.
AC Milan faced Genoa this past Saturday and Alexandre Pato, the football messiah, stunned the fans scoring the two goals that took AC Milan to the 2×0 victory. Not bad for an 18 year old boy making millions with unbelievable press pressure. Not bad at all. Pato was definetely the best out there.
Photo: Burley in the old days
Just to close the week nicely. Scotland’s new manager, George Burley, with a quite nice hairdo. Ha!
George Burley appointed new Scotland manager.
It’s official (and he’s happy about it). George Burley has been appointed the new boss for the Scotts. The former Southampton boss has signed a contract until 2012 and was the chosen one between a four-man shortlist which also included Mark McGhee, Graeme Souness and Tommy Burns. Now let’s be real, the guy has really [...]
Africa Cup of Nations: “More quality goals as Senegal and Tunisia draw”
Nice match round up from AusTeo’s blog at oleole.com. Nice video after the jump.
“A thundering late strike from Mejdi Traoui has rescued a point for Tunisia in its 2-2 draw with Senegal in Tamale this evening. It was a point dropped for the Senegalese who needed a host of chances to take a 2-1 lead [...]
“Remembering the genius of Garrincha”
This is beautiful. Written by Jonathan Stevenson for BBC sport. Thought I would share.
At first sight, he looked like he would barely be able to walk. With his right leg pointing inwards and his left leg pointing outwards, Manuel Fransisco dos Santos seemed more destined to end up in a circus than on a football [...]
Is the MLS really damaging Beckham?
That is what claims ex-England boss Steve McClaren. “America is damaging Beckham,” he says. Yes, the guy who could not take England to EURO 2008 and lost his job shortly after. But then again, I also do not think it was a particularly smart move on Beckham (football-wise) to come play for the MLS. But [...]
Brazil’s new blue kit. I like.
Back in November 2007, Nike developed a new home jersey to the Brazilian Football squad as part of the 50th anniversary celebration of Brazil’s first title. Now they did it again, quite nicely must I say. The new away kit, the blue one, has been totaly redesigned to remind us of the blue uniform Brazil [...]
