We’re on the the final lap of EURO 08 Qualifiers. Some teams have already qualified and others depend on results in order to get the ticket to Switzerland and Austria. Italy vs. Scotland should be an awesome match and if Russia wins against Israel, England gets into deep trouble.

Good news from FIFA today. The 2011 FIFA Women’s World Cup will be hosted by Germany. With an amazing job at the 2006 Men’s World Cup, Germany should have no problems repeating the same success in 2011. It will also give a chance for the German ladies to defend their title in home soil.

After a few weeks of already knowing that World Cup 2014 will be played in Brazil, today came the official announcement. Brazil will now have to work on a bunch of stuff and maybe this will be a good excuse to have the government actually do something about Brazilian cities instead of just promising and [...]

The point of this website if to give fans a voice. Today I got 3 interesting comments from people from Vanuatu and decided to take a closer look at the team. Vanuatu is part of the OFC (Oceania Football Confederations) and they have finished fourth in the OFC Nations Cup in 1973, 2000, and 2002. [...]

After a meeting today, FIFA committee decided to stop the policy of rotating the hosting of World Cups through its six continental confederations. FIFA rank shows today, Argentina on top. I guess I am at the point where I couldn’t care less since this rank changes more than Posh changes outfits (not really). The fact is, with World Cup qualifiers and EURO 2008 approaching, FIFA rank will oscillate even more.

If you are planning on going to Austria and Switzerland for EURO 2008, or are even just planning to go in quieter times, a must-see stop is the Lindt & Sprüngli chocolate factory located in Kilchberg, Switzerland. Eating lots of Lindt chocolate is a requirement for those wanting to fully experience Swiss culture (coupled with [...]

The Seleção reminded us, today, of what Brazilian football is about. The team from coach Dunga scored 5 goals on Ecuador, for the second round of FIFA South American 2010 qualifiers. The match was beautiful, the pitch so-so, and the 85,000 people present saw a team that, not only created but also defende and was [...]

The picture here says it all: “we took it with soda” (click on it to enlarge) Argentina easily beats Venezuela with a great performance Albiceleste. Tevez, Milito and Messi were amazing and one can only admire this team. I gotta say this is really hard for me to say, after all I am Brazilian.
