Truly a novel. Today I read all over the Brazilian news that Robinho is not going to join coach Dunga’s guys in Beijing. Real Madrid is saying the player is hurt and needs to have a good pre-season … I think that is just bullies. Now to add to the Robinho story, Argentina is in an arduous fight to keep Lionel Messi in the squad. The 21 year-old Argentinian phenomenon should be able to go without any problems (FIFA rules- he is under 23) but Barcelona is doing everything possible to keep him out of Chinese lands. Unfair? I think so…

Holeeeeeee! That is really a lot of euros. And it is official as well. Chelsea, from new boss Luiz Felipe Scolari is offering AC Milan € 100 million to bring the Brazilian home. If the transaction does go through, this would be the most expensive transfer in football history. So far, the highest one was the move of Zinedine Zidane from Juventus to Real Madrid (€ 65 million). Now stop and think about it: € 100 million! € 100 million!

It’s official. Ronaldinho is going to play for AC Milan. The Brazilian forward will be joining friend Kaka and the rest of the squad tomorrow. Milan has not commented on Ronaldinho’s decision to join the Olympic squad in Beijing, but I believe that was part of the deal (Milan did not allow Kaka to go). I think this will be a new phase for Ronaldinho. If he gets motivated and in shape, he can surely come back as the world’s top player. And the buy was not expensive. At all. Only € 21 million. But I bet Ronaldinho’s salary won’t be going down at all…
